How to and why pay multiple freelancers in one click

Here’s a question to all translation companies out there: How many interpreters and translators do you work with monthly? How many translation jobs do you issue? How many payments do you make? Do you have an idea of how many hours you spend on this, and how many of those you can save?

Let’s do some math. Say, you run a small to midsize translation agency and have 10–20regular translators working on your projects. Every translator completes several jobs a month. If you’re a multi-language vendor, they are scattered around the world. So, in the end, you can have more than a hundred jobs, each of which must be paid to a different country with its own payment system. And don’t get us started on the paperwork involved, such as W-8/W-9 forms in the United States.

Imagine how many hours you end up losing, which you could have spent on more exciting things such as building client relationshipsfinding niches, or diversifying your services; not to mention the overhead costs that go into such an ineffective way of making payments (we’ve discussed it elsewhere).

Luckily, there’s a solution. With Smartcat, you can import all your pending translation payments as a spreadsheet, create a single invoice, and pay them all in one go. Smartcat will distribute the amount among the freelancers on the list according to their locations.

You don’t need to worry about each vendor’s geography at all — Smartcat takes care of all the paperwork and communication. And you’re 100% legally and tax compliant because you’ll only be paying Smartcat, a properly established U.S. company. We also have legal entities in other jurisdictions throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia via our partner network.

And it’s not just clickbait. Hours of monthly work turns into minutes by uploading a spreadsheet and clicking through the payment form.

Does that click with you? Want to find out more?
