Every project is different and I'm afraid there is no such thing as a "one-fits-all" translation rate. There are literally dozens of factors that affect translation rates: the complexity of your source text, file format (hand-written and non-editable electronic documents tend to be much more expensive), how fast you want it back, your budget expectations, etc. Please, contact me and I'll be happy to give you an exact quote.

My biography and experience

I'm a professional English-Brazilian Portuguese translator, conference interpreter and content writer from Rio de Janeiro with over 5 years of experience in corporate communications, IT, marketing, tourism, human resources and management. I'm the creator of Pronoia Tradutória, a blog conceived to shed light on the daily routine of contemporary translators and their practical challenges in Brazil. I also blog about how does it feel to be a woman solopreneur, encouraging fellow colleagues to embrace the profession as an act of self-discovery and empowerment. I'm also a coworking evangelist: I love spreading the word about new and untraditional ways of working in the quest for the so-called work-life balance. I'm currently working together with the boards of ABRATES and Sintra (Brazilian Association of Translators/Interpreters and the Translators' Union, respectively) to set up a "coworking passport" for their associates. Besides translating and interpreting, I also write for Capitolina, an online magazine for teenage girls, and Traduzine (coming soon!). If you'd like to share your ideas with me, please drop me a line and let's grab a cup of virtual coffee!
