Hi there!

I am a translator located in Antwerp, Belgium, who absolutely loves practicing foreign languages and traveling. My native language is Dutch and my foreign languages are English, Portuguese and German. 

After graduating as a translator, I decided to broaden my knowledge and completed my education with a Master of Business Economics and Management. As I did not feel quite ready to settle down in Belgium, I then went to Portugal, looking for adventure and wanting to improve my Portuguese language skills. And did I! Portugal was so amazing that I stayed there for 1,5 years. I worked in a multinational company with colleagues from all over the world. The job may not have been the most exciting one, but the environment and people more than made up for it. Speaking two, three or sometimes even four different languages on one and the same day made me feel more alive than ever and, simply put, just makes me happy!

After 1,5 years, I moved back to my home country and worked in another multinational company. While I have always been able to use my languages in my career, it did not feel like it was enough. I was communicating in a foreign language with my colleagues and clients, yes, but I was not translating. I did not get the same feeling of satisfaction that I get when I finish translating a text and realize I have created a beautiful, easy-to-read translation.

In 2017 I decided it was time to start doing what I love again, so I started working as a freelance translator. I am happy to say that I have gained a few loyal customers in my first year.
