My biography and experience
Growing up a daughter to immigrant parents who speak mainly Spanish, my siblings and I were always interpreting and translating for them and other family members. Early on I realized how much I loved interpreting - and helping other translators and interpreters achieve happiness - ever since.
After working both as a freelancer and in-house translator and interpreter, I founded eLingual.Net with the help of Pablo Raygoza, a fellow colleague. We had a vision of building a fair, ethical and transparent business that not only helps professional translators and interpreters support the profession that brings them happiness but also support the clients who work with them.
Helping translators, interpreters and their clients reach their goals via a fair, ethical and transparent meeting place makes me happy. For the professional translator and interpreter, this means setting their own fees, no job bidding, no middlemen and the freedom to turn their services into a sustainable business. For the clients, this means having access to ethical, quality and professional services, and the opportunity of helping support the services of professionals worldwide.
At eLingual.Net, I wear many hats including presenting our unique meeting place to professional translators and interpreters and clients. I help develop translation and interpretation client related articles also career related articles for translators and interpreters. I work on Website Development looking for new and productive features which are in line with our mission. Additionally, I single-handedly manage the West Coast Body & Paint office, write the content for the shop's website and articles which I co-own with husband.
Today, thru the eLingual.Net meeting place and my small but incredible team, we are promoting a happy movement. A movement for fair, ethical and transparent conditions for translators and interpreters. A movement for ethical, quality and professional translation and interpretation services for clients.
