My rates

0.08 USD per source word

Every project is different and I'm afraid there is no such thing as a "one-fits-all" translation rate. There are literally dozens of factors that affect translation rates: the complexity of your source text, file format (hand-written and non-editable electronic documents tend to be much more expensive), how fast you want it back, your budget expectations, etc. Please, contact me and I'll be happy to give you an exact quote.

My biography and experience

I was born and raised in a small town in Tuscany, Italy. I started to study languages in high school and at I continued up to the University, where I earned a BA in Foreing Languages and Literatures (English and Spanish) from the University of Pisa and a MA in Specialized Translation from the University of Bologna.

My academic path included two study abroad semesters - in Manchester, UK (2014) and Granada, Spain (2016) to enhance my linguistic skills - and two internships, one in user manuals and software localization and one in the field of Toxicology and Pharmacokinetics. The latter was included in the European online project "TOX-OER: Learning Toxicology Through Open Educational Resources" and allowed me to participate in one-week intensive learners meeting organized by the University of Porto, Portugal, on Pharmacology. For my excellent academic outcome, in 2016 I was offered the opportunity to complete an online MA in Global Marketing, Communication and Made in Italy from the Italian centre "Comunicare l'impresa" together with Italy-USA Fondation.

At the moment I am doing a three-month internship in Barcelona, Spain in a translation agency that specializes in website and app localization. As I am devoted to continuous professional education, meanwhile I am attending MOOC courses on subjects such as pharmaceuticals, clinical studies, drug origins and nutrition to efficiently translate within these fields.
