I am a freelance translator and editor with a BA degree (UNISA), majoring in English and Linguistics. In addition I finished the following modules of a BA.Honns. in Language Practice at North West University, Vaal Triange Campus: Theory of Language Practice Taal, Teks en Konteks (Language, Text and Context) Subtitling I have translated and edited some manuals for my employer (not part of my job description), as well as theses, forms and various other official documents for different private clients. I also translated one book (a novel for youth) from Afrikaans into English, and reviewed another (on parent training), which were both published. Thirteen eBooks (a short story, three Young Adult dystopian novellas, five children's books, a mystery novel, a humorous novel about one of the members of Santa's family, a non-fiction book, and a book with some short stories connected to Christmas) from English into Afrikaans, were also published.
