Every project is different and I'm afraid there is no such thing as a "one-fits-all" translation rate. There are literally dozens of factors that affect translation rates: the complexity of your source text, file format (hand-written and non-editable electronic documents tend to be much more expensive), how fast you want it back, your budget expectations, etc. Please, contact me and I'll be happy to give you an exact quote.

My biography and experience

Translation is an incredible job, allowing one to delve into a technical text in one moment and study a business letter in the next. All of this simultaneously in two languages. It is surely one of the reasons I chose such a job. I started working as a translator during college years and continued it while having a full-time job.

I translate technical, financial and business texts, marketing materials, as well as localize software and websites from English into Polish.

I have a master’s degree in philology with the specialization in Applied linguistics of English with translation. I regularly participate in trainings, courses and conferences to improve my skills. I am also an active participant of industry groups, helping other translators in choosing their equipment.

Acquired experience allows me to efficiently localize products and website on Polish market. I use my knowledge to help international companies to introduce their products on local market and to assist local companies in further development. Whether the materials relate to IT, consumer electronics and home appliances or more specialized markets, I conscientiously prepare the translation.

I am especially fond of working with companies that operate in the Intelligent Transport Systems. This often includes translation of contracts, tender documentations, datasheets, manuals and marketing materials. Even though such type of work can be very exhausting due to short deadlines, it allows me to see the end result on every day basis.

My main tools, expect for my brain, are MemoQ, SDL Trados and Wordfast programs. Each client receives separate glossary and password protected folder, in which all translated documents are being kept. In addition to double-reading the translated materials, I use software to help ensure quality, e.g. XBench.

In free time I read books, run, watch movies, play guitar and study foreign languages. My newest challenge is Spanish.
