Every project is different and I'm afraid there is no such thing as a "one-fits-all" translation rate. There are literally dozens of factors that affect translation rates: the complexity of your source text, file format (hand-written and non-editable electronic documents tend to be much more expensive), how fast you want it back, your budget expectations, etc. Please, contact me and I'll be happy to give you an exact quote.

My biography and experience

I trade under the name of Precise Lingo Services offering English-Polish and German-Polish, and occasionally also Polish-English translation, proofreading, editing and research services. Before launching a full-time career as a freelance translator I worked as archaeologist, museum assistant, and program coordinator in the academic and healthcare environment. I started out my translation career working as part-time translator. I also worked as in-house translator in Hotel Reservation Service, in Germany, translating the company’s website into Polish. My educational qualifications include Bachelor of Arts in ESL, Master of Arts in English, and Translation Certificate. In addition, I hold MA degree in Archaeology and PhD degree in Jewish studies. My comprehensive education and broad interests have given me a good understanding of several subject areas, in addition to my own areas of expertise. I have been involved in proofreading and translating of many published archaeological and geological articles, and published PhD dissertation. I have worked for the scientists from the Universities of Rzeszów, Kraków, and Poznań. One of my strongest qualities is my close connection to the English and German language and culture because of an extended period of living in Germany, Canada and the United States of America. I am also committed to the idea of volunteerism and I have offered my services free of charge to the following institutions: Virtual Shtetl and Selfhelp Community Services.
