My biography and experience

My name is Noémie and I am a French native translator.

I translate from English and Spanish: of course, I have learned them at school, high school and then University; but I also spent 9 months in Scotland and 9 months in Spain, an experience that I consider as essential in my language learning process. As I think you never know a language too much, I keep reading and watching movies/series in these languages almost daily, and also travelling when I can.

Now let's talk a bit about my education/working experience. After graduating with my master's degree in translation and interpretation (a French-Spanish double-diploma), I worked six months as an in-house translator for a company that develops softwares for the banking industry. I learned a lot there: team work, respect of deadlines, use of CAT tool, TM and glossaries, etc. But I also learned that working in a company was not something I wanted to do over the long term, for all the goods reasons any freelance translator can tell.

So here I am, I decided to establish myself as a freelance translator. As I already did at University and during my in-house experience, I am committed to always provide high-quality work within the deadline agreed together with the client.

A bientôt !
