Every project is different and I'm afraid there is no such thing as a "one-fits-all" translation rate. There are literally dozens of factors that affect translation rates: the complexity of your source text, file format (hand-written and non-editable electronic documents tend to be much more expensive), how fast you want it back, your budget expectations, etc. Please, contact me and I'll be happy to give you an exact quote.

My biography and experience

I'm Rachael and I'm a master’s graduate from the University of Manchester, passionate about languages, reading, writing and all things wordy! I'm also the director of Dragonfly Translations Ltd, a small company based in Manchester offering translation, editing and subtitling along with other linguistic services from French and Spanish into English.

Why Dragonfly?

A dragonfly begins its life in water as a nymph. It grows and thrives in its watery environment but if that same nymph wants to flourish elsewhere, it needs to transform itself and thus, the dragonfly is born. This is how I view translation. Language must be adapted and transformed to prosper in different environments while fundamentally maintaining its original essence.

I've been translating for almost three years now, and in that time I've subtitled television programmes such as 'Los Protegidos', translated medical research papers and hospital discharge reports, as well as research papers on the behaviour, development and care of animals from mangrove-associated molluscs to horses.

Want to know if I'm the right translator for your job? Just drop me a message and I'll let you know if it's something I can help you with!
