Is this someone you've been looking for?

Every project is different and I am afraid there is no such thing as a "one-fits-all" translation rate.

There are lots of factors that affect translation rates: the complexity of your source text, file format (hand-written and non-editable electronic documents tend to be much more expensive), expected deadline, number of words, your budget expectations, etc.

Please contact me indicating any relevant information about your project and I will be happy to give you an exact quote.

My biography and experience

During my university and post-graduate studies I translated a variety of texts from tourism leaflets to plays, scientific articles to EU legislation documents and patents. I enjoyed the challenge of ensuring a high standard of accuracy and fidelity to the meaning and the spirit of the original text whilst assuring conformity to Italian grammar, syntax and idioms.

My love for gaming was incubated at the ages of 6-7 watching my brother play Commodore 64 and Amiga 500 videogames, although the passion did not really come until 8 years old when I started playing on my own. Since then, my gaming experience has become more diverse and greatly enriched across multiple genres and platforms (Amiga 500; the PlayStation range; the Nintendo range; Steam; iTunes, and Google Playstore).

Therefore, I combined my deep passion for gaming with my ever-lasting passion for translating turning them into a job more than four years ago. I have been so excited at the chance to translate, proofread, and provide localisation testing of forty videogames and counting! Among them there are are well-known strategy games; platform games; simulation games, and military games for major platforms including Nintendo Switch, XBox One, PS4, Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.

Due to my keen interest in technology, I also provided Italian localisation work on Samsung’s voice recognition application and localised mobile apps for Android and iOS including medical and sports apps; a web and mobile app of a new social platform; an online audio player app; and a hotel-in-room entertainment software. These projects involved accuracy and precision to ensure high standards of quality and working to extremely tight deadlines.

My professional experience for an international media group and digital publisher focused on translating and proofreading their cycling website, magazines and bookazines containing articles from bike reviews, cycling-related technology, health and medicine, fitness and training. The last hat I wore I was that of a search engine optimisation: ensuring the clients articles would rank well.

Client work to date includes the ongoing translation of bike parts, cycling clothing & equipment of a renowed Dutch bike webshop – a project which started more three years ago. Translation services include also the website HTML and CMS files; standard e-mails to customers; general Terms and Conditions; privacy statement, and the website frequently asked questions (FAQ).

I have been also providing translation and revision services for a few years now to several leading manufacturers and major e-commerce websites with reference to bikes and cutting-edge cycling equipment; swimwear; backpacks, and outdoor gear. Other translation services included translating marketing quick start guides of innovative cycling equipment and press release documents of bicycles; avant-garde running apps, and also international furniture and fashion exhibitions in Dubai.
