I obtained master's degree in Japanese and English from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic in 1980. I have been working as in-house and later as independent translators ever since then. In 1985-86 I worked as an in-house translator for Japan Import Center in Tokyo, Japan, since 1987 I have been working as an independent translator specializing in patents in the United State, first in California until 2001 when I moved to Virginia where I live now.
