I am Tany, a Venezuelan full time freelance translator of English into Spanish (my native language). I am fluent in written and spoken English, I lived for three years in the USA.
I have been translating general and scientific texts for over twelve years in my home country, Venezuela. Currently I work from Lima, Perú for customers worldwide as a freelance translator. During this time I have been producing high quality translations in my areas of expertise.
I am a Biologist, graduated with honors "Summa Cum Laude" with a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences and I have worked in the following fields: Life Sciences/Medical Sciences/Pharmaceuticals, Molecular Biology/Biotechnology and related.
I have worked in the translation of several different kinds of projects: Medical trials, Patients reports, Laboratory results, Abstracts and articles from scientific journals, PowerPoint conferences, Pharmaceutical trials, Medical devices manuals, and more.
I use SDL Trados Studio to guarantee translation consistency. I also have a good handle of MemoQ
I have excellent reference books in my area of expertise and many language reference books and dictionaries (hardcopy and on-line). This enables me to research rapidly and thoroughly to produce high quality work.
My translation rates: $0.04 per English word.
My translation daily output: 3000 words.
I have three years of experience in Translating/Subtitling English video files to incorporate Spanish subtitles (Subtitle Edit, GTS and Aegisub software). I have very competitive rates.
My translation/subtitling rates: $3.5 per minute of video.
My translation/subtitling daily output: 25 minutes of video.
I also have three years of experience in Transcribing/Translating Spanish audio files into English text, including timestamps when needed.
My transcribing/translating rates: $2.0 per minute of audio
My transcribing/translating daily output: 35 minutes of audio.
