A few things about me

No two projects are the same - and rates will definitely vary! Do you want a video game translated that's mostly dialog and delivered in an Excel spreadsheet that's very easy to process? This will speed up translation and I will charge you less. Do you need software translated and all the text is hard-coded in your source code? That will take a lot longer so I'll have to charge you a bit more. What it all comes down to is that you want a high-quality translation and I want to make a living. So send me some info on your project (word count, file types, special requirements, your budget, what have you) and I'll send you an exact quote!

My biography and experience
After an internship as a translator and subtitler at Voice & Script International, I spent most of my professional life as a translator at Nintendo of Europe where I had the privilege of working with and learning from some excellent translators. I localized a wide variety of titles for Wii, the Nintendo DS family and Wii U, then moved on to translate all sorts of marketing text for the German Nintendo websites and social media channels.
In 2010 I spent a year in Australia with a Work & Travel visa and briefly worked in door-to-door sales there, trying to get people to buy their produce from local farmers. I traveled all over the country, met some wonderful people and many adorable marsupials.
As an avid gamer, I have the following consoles/systems at home: Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, PC, HTC Vive and an Android tablet.
