My biography and experience

Ι have a postgraduate degree in Translation Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (grade: 19,33/20). I have been a member of the Panhellenic Association of Translators (member of Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs) since 2012. Other qualifications include the following: Diplôme de traducteur bilingue by Centre Européen de Formation à la Traduction Professionnelle in 1999 / Degree in French literature and language by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1999 / Chartered Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation from English into Greek in 2003. Being a freelancer involves developing a trusting relationship with my clients. As a result, I place much emphasis on their satisfaction by delivering the best. Providing top-quality translation and proofreading services is crucial to me. I work in varied fields of expertise, including EU, administration, human and life sciences, medicine, geology, technology, social sciences, literature, marketing, sports, tourism, etc. I have worked as a translator-proofreader for a tourist portal and a special education publishing company for a long time. The 2004 Athens Olympic Games were an important landmark in my career as a translator-proofreader. I do not accept strictly legal texts, as translating such texts requires a legal professional background. In 2011, I was awarded the WSET Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines and Spirits, and since then, I have become active in wine translation. I always try to watch the latest developments in the translation industry and boost my professional status by attending seminars and courses.
