How do I connect with my translator?
When you submit your project to The Open Mic one of our project managers will help you evaluate your budget and find the right person for the job.
After you approve your estimate and fund your project we'll setup a private Slack channel for you and your translation team where you'll be able to share your comments and additional instructions, upload files and screenshots, answer the questions from translators and our project managers and keep track of your project status.
How much does it cost?
It's free to submit your project to The Open Mic. Our project managers will find you a perfect translator, evaluate your budget and prepare a free estimate.
Your estimate will include translator's fee and The Open Mic's service fee plus applicable taxes. The Open Mic charges a 20% service fee on top of translator's fee for all projects submitted through The Open Mic. This fee covers the cost of running our platform, payment processing and project management services.
How does payment work?
Prior to launching your project we will prepare an estimate for you. This estimate will include a detailed breakdown of the services with the total cost of your project. Once you approve this estimate we'll send you an invoice and you'll be able to make a secure payment via Stripe or PayPal.
Once your project is fully funded our translators will start working on your project right away. You'll receive your translated files via email on or before the agreed deadline. You'll have 7 days to review your translations. Once you're happy with the results and approve the project delivery, we'll release your funds to translators who worked on your project.
