In order to publish your stories on The Ope Mic, you’ll need to register for a free account.
Don’t worry, registration takes less than a minute!
Once you’ve registered and logged in go to Menu > Publish New Story
This will open a page where you can submit your stories:
Now let’s take a quick look at every field.
Title, subtitle, and content
The title is basically the title of your blog post. This will be used when someone shares your story on the social media. And it will be displayed at the top of your blog post.
For example, in this article:
Developer Diary 9: Writing Stories On The Open Mic – this is a Title.
Because every translator is a storyteller – this is a Subtitle.
The Content field is where you actually will be writing all of your stories. This is a WYSIWYG editor (what you see is what you get).
You can change the style of your text.
Make it bold.
Make it italic.
Change text color.
the alignment of your text.
Go crazy with font sizes.
Ok, I think you got the idea by now.
The text editing possibilities are endless and the best thing you can do is try clicking on those buttons on the editor’s page:
Don’t forget to save your changes from time to time!
You can save your stories as drafts, preview them in real time and return to them later.
Once you’re satisfied with the results, click Submit and your story will be instantly published on The Open Mic!
Congratulations! You’ve just published your #FirstOpenMicStory.
