My biography and experience
Before moving on to study Film, I studied English and Portuguese, with a major in Translation, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. That was when I began working as a part-time translator, first as an intern for professors, then as an assistant to professional translators. Even though I am now pursuing a degree in a different area, I still study language and translation by myself. When I graduate from Film School, I intend to pursue a certificate from a Translators association.
I have worked on many projects so far, in order to learn more about the trade and the many areas I could specialize in. I am currently focusing on the areas of Philosophy, Film Theory/Visual Arts in general and Literature. Additionally, I have also translated closed captions and subtitles for many short films, as well as some scripts.
