Born and raised in Slovakia, I've started my Translation career, right after finishing my BA in Translating and Interpreting. As a starting Translator and Interpreter, I decided to continue my professional development and graduated from Newcastle University, 2 years later, with a degree in Cross-Cultural Communication. Since then I continue working not only as a Freelance Translator and Interpreter in Slovak, Czech, English and Spanish languages and their combinations but also as a Cross-Cultural Communication specialist. I believe that the fast-paced globalized business environment we work in today requires not only translators but intercultural communications specialists as well. There is a need for those, who can reduce the gap in communication between clients and their international business and most of all, helping to avoid the cultural misunderstandings that we've seen so many, in the past. I definitely stay by my colleagues and will do my best to make the world aware that professional translators are a necessary investment rather than, as they are considered most of the time, an expense.
