I am a freelance translator based in Silver Spring, Maryland, a place where people from many different cultures come together. Even though I frequently travel within and outside the US, I always come back to Silver Spring, where I was born and raised. I am a native speaker of English, and I have acquired my second language, Arabic, through continuous studying and experiences abroad.

I started learning Arabic when I was in high school, all four years. I continued to study Arabic at the University of Georgia (UGA), graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic, in just three years. I also studied abroad in Jordan during the summer of 2014.

After graduating from UGA, I spent three months in 2017 teaching English in Hebron, Palestine at the Excellence Center. I began freelancing soon after I returned. I also volunteer with Translators Without Borders.
