My biography and experience

In early 2017, I completed my MA in Translation Studies at the University of Sheffield, graduating with Distinction. This followed on from my undergraduate degree in German Studies, which I completed in 2015, graduating with a 2:1. For over three years now, I have worked in a variety of different in-house and freelance translation roles, developing my skills as a translator. One thing has been very clear to me from the beginning, I have a passion for the art of translation and there’s nothing I love more than taking a German or Dutch text and creating something that conveys the same meaning while flowing beautifully in my native language of English. I quickly made the choice to specialise in creative marketing translation with a heavy focus on e-commerce, tourism and translation.

If you’re looking for a translator who is truly committed to helping you connect with an English-speaking audience, then I’m the person you need to work with. I will truly take the time to understand your brand’s message and how best to convey it to your readers. While other translators may run in fear from your puns, slogans and desire to incorporate humour into your communication style, I will rise to the challenge. Bravely, nobly, defiantly. Working for several major e-commerce companies over the years has given me a very sound understanding of how to market products to a UK audience and this shows in the way I translate. I am very interested in branding and I always stay up to date with the latest trends – in short, I don’t just speak the English language; I speak the culture.

I look forward to working with you soon!
