12 Days of Christmas (Translator edition) Original Post on The Translation Cauldron Blog of Rockstar Translations

Less than 1 minute, my friend!

[I wrote this post exactly one year ago. Still a Christmas junkie. I love Christmas :D]

I am usually a Christmas junkie. I love everything about it. The lights, the trees, the waiting, my super family celebrating and laughing and enjoying every little moment. I start thinking about these holidays in September! This year, my usual enthusiasm struggled to kick off.

Last weekend was supposed to be completely free. I had already started to enjoy my days off, when on Thursday I received two translations and a small subtitling job. So much for my free weekend! The positive side of another working weekend was that I was particularly inspired and managed to be free on Monday.

Monday became the day of Christmas cards, Christmas music, writing Christmas-y stuff, “in the air there’s a feeling of Christmas.

So I came up with this silly version of one of my favourite Christmas song, 12 Days of Christmas.

12 Days of Christmas (Translator edition)

Sing along!

“On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love (i.e. translation) sent to me:

12 prospect clients
11 smashing projects!
10 days a week
9 training courses
8 quotes accepted
7 conference tickets
6 good referrals
5 golden rings (who wouldn’t want golden rings…)
4 tons of books
3 new friends
2 days off
…and a CAT tool that was hella cheap!”

I hope I made you smile with this version of this wonderful song.

If you enjoyed this post, share and comment 🙂
